Following are 5 home remedies which can help you to make your hair thicker:
1. Eggs
Eggs have a high content of proteins which are essential for stronger and thicker hair. Eggs are used in most treatments to rejuvenate the hair from the roots and to make them stronger.
Ingredients:
- 2 Eggs (Number of eggs may vary according to your hair length)
- Coconut oil/ Olive Oil
- Water
Steps:
- Take two or more eggs and beat them together and pour them into a bowl.
- Take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil or olive oil and two tablespoons of water.
- Mix all the ingredients well and apply the mixture to your hair and let it sit for 25-30 minutes.
- Wash your hair with a mild shampoo so as to remove the smell of eggs from your hair.
Use this method twice a week for best results. You will be able to see a difference in your hair just after few weeks.
2. Indian Gooseberry
Amla or Indian Gooseberry is rich in vitamin C and is known for its anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been long used by Indian housewives to make hair thicker, shinier and stronger.
Ingredients:
- Amla Powder
- Olive oil or Coconut oil
Steps:
- Heat Olive oil or Coconut oil in a pan and add two tablespoons of amla powder to it.
- Heat the oil until it is charred brown.
- Allow it to cool down a bit and then apply the mixture to your scalp.
- Massage your hair properly and let the mixture sit for about 30-45 minutes.
- Wash your hair using a mild shampoo, and, use lukewarm water to do so.

- Aloe Vera Gel
- Honey
- Coconut oil
Steps:
- Mix 5 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel with 2 tablespoons of honey and 3 tablespoons of coconut oil.
- Apply the mixture to your scalp and hair massage well, and then, let it sit for 25-30 minutes.
- Wash your hair using your regular shampoo and use cold water for doing so.
You can even extract aloe Vera from leaves and use it for the above-mentioned mixture. Drinking Aloe Vera juice every day can also help in improving your hair texture and hair growth.

4. Fenugreek Seeds
Fenugreek seeds or methi seeds are made up of amino acids and lecithin and are a high source of protein. They not only make your hair thicker but also remove any dandruff present in your hair.
Ingredients:
- Fenugreek seeds
- Curd
- Olive oil
Steps:
- Mix one tablespoon of fenugreek seed powder with 5 tablespoons of curd and 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Cover the mixture and let it sit for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, the mixture will turn thick and will be ready to use. If you think that the mixture is too thick to use then you can pour a bit of water into the mixture to make it thinner.
- Massage this mixture all over your hair and let it sit for 25 -30 minutes.
- Wash your hair thoroughly using a mild shampoo.

5. Olive Oil
Olive oil is one of the most used home remedies to help thicken hair. It has great moisturizing properties and keeps dry and frizzy hair at bay. Olive oil helps prevent dandruff and makes your hair stronger as well
Ingredients:
- Olive oil
- Honey
Steps:
- Mix 5 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of Honey.
- Apply the mixture to your hair and let it sit for 30 minutes
- Wash your hair thoroughly using your regular shampoo.
Another method to use olive oil is to massage warm olive oil into your hair and leave it overnight. You can shampoo your hair next morning with your regular shampoo.
